Wellboy

Wellboy (Anton Oleksandrovych Velboy, born June 9, 2000, in Hrun, Sumy Oblast) is a Ukrainian singer, composer, and songwriter. He grew up in a family of village musicians and graduated from KNUKiM as a stage director.

He rose to fame after season 10 of X-Factor Ukraine (2019, 3rd place, mentored by Nastya Kamenskykh). His breakthrough was “Husy” (2021) — the first Ukrainian track in Apple Music Ukraine’s year-end TOP 100 — followed by “Vyshni,” “Dodomu,” “Nozzy Bossy,” and “Zabyi” (with Parfeniuk).

In 2022 he finished 3rd in Ukraine’s Eurovision national selection with “Nozzy Bossy”; he won YUNA 2022 (Best Song, Discovery of the Year). Collabs include Quest Pistols and Parfeniuk; the catalog includes the album 8 marabu.

Don’t confuse him with same-name hip-hop acts: this is the Ukrainian pop artist Wellboy known for “Husy” and “Vyshni.”
