MAF (Modern Ukrainian Folk Project, also listed as MUF Modern Ukrainian Folk Project) is a Ukrainian music project blending folk motifs with contemporary pop and electronic music. In public sources it is presented as an author-driven folk-pop act — a public biography of its members with birth dates and full names is not documented in open access.

The project's concept is to reimagine Ukrainian folklore through a modern sound: EDM drive, club rhythm and polished production are combined with melodies and imagery from folk tradition. The tracks are built for streaming platforms, DJ sets and everyday listening while keeping a recognizable Ukrainian tone.

MAF continues to develop the modern Ukrainian folk format — a timely blend of ethno and electronics on the Ukrainian scene. The project should not be confused with the band Mavka or other folk collectives with a similar sound.

Artem Pivovarov is a Ukrainian singer, songwriter, sound producer, and one of the most recognizable names on the country’s contemporary music scene. Born on June 28, 1991, in Vovchansk, Kharkiv Oblast, he took an unusual path to music: he studied at medical college, worked in healthcare, and later chose creativity as his full-time calling. Today, Pivovarov stands for energetic pop and new wave, bold visuals, and songs that quickly turn into nationwide hits.

His career began in the Kharkiv band Dance Party.Dance! Dance!, followed by solo releases under the alias Art Rey and his debut album Kosmos (2013). Since 2014, he has performed under his own name, released several full-length albums — including Ocean, Element of Water, Element of Fire, and Earthbound — and shaped a distinctive style built on modern production, strong melodies, and emotional delivery.

Today, Artem Pivovarov tours actively, sells out major venues — including the Palace of Sports in Kyiv — and continues to release new singles, visual projects, and large-scale musical initiatives. His live shows are defined by strong energy, stage presence, and a direct connection with the audience.
