Matvik

Matvik is a Ukrainian reggae and hip-hop artist: city pulse, short singles and the calm tone of “meni i tak norm”. On streaming since autumn 2025 — first via DistroKid (10603228 Records DK), then under his own MATVIK copyright. Early releases set the map: “Muzychnyi Polit”, “Vona”, “Sichen”, “Vulychnyi Rytm”, “Yak narkotyk”, “P’yatnytsya”, “Sered khvyl”. Not stadium pathos — courtyard and headphone music, with reggae roll and conversational bluntness.

The catalogue grows almost weekly and reads like a route through the city. “Ne v merezhi” is about going offline; “Bez navigatora” and “Marshrut ne zberezhenyi” about moving without a plan; “Dym i fary”, “Dym iz Vikon”, “Ostannie taksi” — night frames. The hip-hop line strengthens in “Shlyakh”, “Arkhitektor dniv”, “Vyshche khmar”, “Ta nu yoho, brat”, “Den na pauzu”. There are dance turns too: “Kholodna tysha”, “Malo vohnyu”, “Dyka-dyka”. A feature with TRYV brings “Polyn”; later come the remix of “Misto zvuchyt” and tougher personal cuts “Ne razom”, “Ne pytay”.

There’s almost no public biography — the character is in the titles. The narrator rises (“Pidnyatys”), hits play (“Tysnu play”), tells a brother “whatever”. “Meni i tak norm” became one of the stickiest tracks — self-sufficiency without pose; on Apple Music in Ukraine the single entered the chart. Beside it sit “Meni sohodni mozhna” and “Choho zavys”: permission to yourself, and a question to someone stuck opposite.
