About music by year
Music by year is a catalog slice by release calendar: pick a year in the header or on the page tabs and hear what came out in that window. Not “best forever” and not a century chart — a living frame of “what was released in the selected year.”
The year in the top menu moves with the catalog: it shows a current slice, not an eternal label. Inside the page you can jump to other years and use the origin filter — foreign, Russian, or Ukrainian — without resetting the player queue.
Do not confuse this gesture with New releases: those gather fresh release dates without locking one year into the title. Here the year frame matters. Popular and Top 100 are a different conversation — interest strength, not the calendar.
First visit? Take the current year in the header and three tracks in a row. Then switch origin or a neighbor year — the ear learns the gesture faster than an argument about the “correct” chart.
